Make a Mess at Home – Messy Hatter’s Mess Party!

Would you like to go on a messy adventure now or shall we have a rice tea party first?

Join Krissy and the Mess Around Gang at their Messy Hatter’s Tea Party. Messy Hatter Krissy is going to show you how to dye rice, so you can create your very own coloured Rice Tea Party! It wouldn’t be a tea party without getting messy with some biscuit decorating, a bubble bath tea cup wash and some potion making!

Thanks to everyone who got to join us LIVE and to those who missed out here is the video:

If you would love to make Coloured Rice at home, follow the instructions below:

What you will need:

Tuff Tray or box tray

1 kg bag of plain rice

4 different food dyes

Vinegar or hand sanitizer

Mixing bowls and spoons

Toy Tea set

Method:

1.Put 250 grams of rice per colour into a mixing bowl.

2. Add the vinegar or hand sanitiser to the bowl of rice and mix it through the rice.

3. Add the food colouring to the bowl and give it another really good mix to make sure you cover all the grains of rice.

4. Spread the rice out on a baking tray and leave to dry.

Tip: If you prefer you can leave it in the bowl to dry, but it will dry faster if spread thinly on a baking tray.

5. Once the colourful rice is completely dry it’s time to play!
