Do I need childcare or teaching experience?
No – if you love working with children, enjoy getting hands-on, and are happy to engage with families, we’ll give you all the tools and training you need.
Do I need to find my own venues?
Yes – our guide will help you source suitable venues in your area, including community halls, schools, and soft play centres.
Can I do this alongside a job or parenting?
Absolutely! Many of our team members run Mess Around around school hours, part-time jobs, or family life. It’s as flexible as you need it to be.
“What will I be doing?”
You’ll be running your very own Mess Around business. Using our nationally-recognised brand, with countless resources available at your fingertips and access to support services, you’ll launch and run messy play sessions, parties and events in your area. You’ll join our network of friendly and dedicated business owners who run their businesses to support their family, alongside paid employment or whilst being a parent. You can enjoy the freedom and flexibility of being your own boss, whilst you’ll receive all the help and support you would lack if you were to go it alone.
What if I’ve never run a business before?
That’s totally fine! Our onboarding programme walks you through everything from marketing to bookings, with ongoing support to help you grow confidently.

This covers everything you need to get started (kit excluded)
MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION (min 12 months) from £45 per month (ex Vat) dependent on package.
